FOREXT meets in Slovakia
Our network has its biannual meeting on 12-14 November 2024 in Slovakia, hosted by our member National Forest Centre. The first day is dedicated to a network business meeting with reflections on the past year and ideas for future activities are shared. The day will end with a visit to the Museum of Forestry and Wood Technology and a joint dinner. The second day will delve deep into the topics of forestry pedagogy and closer to nature forestry. The field trip on the third day takes the participants to see the work of the Slovakian Forest Protection Services and the city of Banská Štiavnica lies amid the forests of the Štiavnické vrchy Mts. and is included on the List of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
